Miss Idoma is a
beauty pageant that crowns intelligence and beauty, a pageant aimed at creating
a platform for an intelligent youth who is innovative on preserving the
cultures of the land. The event attracts all the visiting crowd; tourist and
season city dwellers who always come back to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of
Christmas celebration in Otukpo.
Since its maiden edition in 2010,
Free Image Entertainment has consistently made sure the most prestigious beauty
pageant north central holds every December 27th and had also ensured
that a winner goes home with a brand new car curtesy of Mark D Ball.
The 6th
edition of Miss Idoma Beauty pageant promises to be bigger and better as the
event schedule is packed with activities to dazzle the ever growing crowed.
This edition means
a lot to the zone because the 6th car shall be given to the most intelligent beauty Queen who will
in time create projects targeted at promoting and preserving the cultures of
the land.
Featured Activities of 2015;
The event starts from the welcome party camp of the contestants
through other entertaining and educating events to 27th which is the
final pageant day.

Welcome party:
This is a one day
red carpet event where the contestants are welcome to their camp house. They
give proper introduction of themselves to the press and spectators as welcome
speeches.
•
The thanks Giving:
This is the church session presentation of the
contestants to the congregation for prayers and special thanks and prayers to
event sponsors and organisers.
•
Orphanage Visit:
In a bid to reach out to the less privileged of
the society, the contestants and sponsors accompanied by press, visits and
donates to help the less privileged.

The Naughty hill street Carnival
Procession:
This features the
display of masquerades, dancers, musicians and models and all returning youths
performing through the streets of Otukpo town to a street stage show where they
sing and dance till dawn.

Miss
Idoma Beauty Pageant Night:
This is the peak and climax of the event where contestants
are expected to thrill the audience with outstanding performances aimed at the
title; a platform that will enable her fly the cultures of the land through
projects, events and interviews for one whole year. Other side attractions
include musical performance by sons and daughters of the land, comedy,
traditional dance troupes, conventional dance group’s poets, orators etc.
